Back on the court already - in Bulls colors nevertheless :bullskuficry:. This is a great article. I STILL can't believe that he shot a career high 47% from the field for the trash ass Knicks in an offense CLEARLY not designed to suit him. I can't wait for this season to end just so I can see where my nikka lands. Number 25 is cool, but he gotta go back to number 1 next season - it's only right.

NBA executive: Derrick Rose ‘will blossom’ in a solid organization

After Derrick Rose suffered his fourth knee injury, many were quick to jump to shortsighted conclusions about the point guards future in the NBA.

Rose underwent a minor knee scope on his left knee to repair a tear in his meniscus back on April 5. It was Rose’s fourth knee operation and critics everywhere were convinced that this was the end for the former MVP.

As usual, though, the critics continue to underestimate Rose’s strong work ethic and determination to be great. The critics and fans overreacted to this latest injury. Rose walked in and walked out of his operation and is already back on the court doing basketball activities.

Oddly enough, Rose was spotted working out at the Advocate Center this week in Chicago. Although he’s no longer a member of the Chicago Bulls, Rose has a key card to the Advocate Center and the Bulls clearly have no issues with him using their facility.

Derrick Rose being back in his hometown of Chicago and working out at the Bulls’ facility has obviously stirred up rumors about him possibly making a return to the Bulls next year. That is very doubtful to happen, though, since Chicago has said they want to bring back Rajon Rondo.

A league executive told Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, “In a solid organization, Derrick will blossom. I know that’s true of a lot of players, but especially with Derrick.”

This just proves that the narrative the media tried to create on Rose – that he’s a washed up player who doesn’t do anything good for a team – is false and agenda driven.

Players, coaches and general managers know who the real Derrick Rose is and what he brings to the table, and at the end of the day, that is all that matters for Rose’s free agency.

Rose had a solid year with the New York Knicks this season despite the team being a walking disaster. As the third option in a flawed offensive system, Rose averaged 18.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game on 47.1 percent shooting from the field.

Anyone who says Rose isn’t one of the most explosive players in the game still, clearly didn’t watch him play this year. The eye test alone shows Rose’s speed in transition and ability to get to the rim at will was on an elite level this season.

San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker underwent surgery recently to repair a ruptured left quadriceps tendon. Parker will be 35 at the start of next season and he’s not the impact player he once was. Maybe the Spurs and Rose can help each other out next year.

The Spurs need a scoring point guard who can take pressure off of Kawhi Leonard and Rose needs to be back in a winning culture so he can play in the playoffs again. People forget how deadly Rose is once he reaches the postseason, as he carries averages of 23.7 points and 7.1 assists.

If you follow basketball, you know that Derrick Rose is basically a Tony Parker on steroids. They play the same type of game – heavy dose of mid-range shots and layups/floaters.

Rose has proven time and time again that he’s still one of the fastest players in the game despite sustaining serious knee injuries. His outlook is much brighter than what the pundits say.
