i'm fairly positive he's not playing. he said in his exit interview he's resting and working out this summer.

If it was up to me KD, Russy, & Serge would all sit this out. Russy & Serge to recover & rest their injuries. KD just because he played so many minutes.

I hope so, neither KD or Russ have anything to prove. Just get healthy and ready for another long season

I agree with you but ultimately, i'd say chicago just needs a 4th scorer to go along with rose carmelo and noah. i think thats why they were exploring aaron affalo a few days ago, even if at the probable expense of jimmy butler.

Without that, rose and carmelo basically become an east coast version of okc as far as offensive reliance.. with noah essentially being ibaka (defense first player having to do more offensively). Not sayin thats a bad thing but i think they peeped game from the spurs with how they had a 4th scorer in kawhi in addition to parker duncan and ginobli... and 3 point shooters. The spurs never really needed more than 2 of their top 4 playing well for them to have a chance.. which enabled popovich to keep everyone's minutes under 30 per game, which kept injury prone parker and ginobli healthy enough come playoff time.

Maybe butler will evolve into that 4th scorer but whether it be that way or through getting a player like affalo, they just need it where rose and anthony (assuming they get him) don't gotta go nba2k mode like westbrook/durant have to night in and night out. The less minutes accumulated would go along way for rose.

I hope he comes back as the same player he was or at least close to it. It's not fair that these great young players (Oden Roy Gilbert etc.) get hurt and we don't get to see them in their prime years. I think Rose will be ok though and will still be an elite player.
