Lol he has 111 mil in guaranteed bread on this contract, and we don’t even know how much the signing bonus was

money is not the issue nor does it really matter here, Watson clearly has the leverage

Watson doesn't really have all the leverage unless he's willing to hold out. His signing bonus is spread out over the length of the contract and he was only paid ~$7M of the $27M bonus. If he were to hold out he wouldn't be paid the portion left or his salary; the guaranteed money is automatic if he holds out, just basically if he's cut or career injury
