I feel what youre saying but when you audition for a play or a TV show, they don't have you on a table dancing around or even acting in front of people. Traditionally there's three or four people, not 20-30 people, at least in a legit casting call (only been in a few).

Its way they go about it, many singers audition for recorded company's, but making him dance on a table doing a dance that makes him look ridiculous ( at least in the company's eyes) then putting it out there for the world to see is . I don't see the same tv and plays releasing audition and casting tapes in this manner.
