It's possible you were doing the subclass joints though.
I checked a few times and it said your fireteam was locked.

Game gets pretty barren once you hit about 300 light. Faction rally's start next week, but compared to Destiny 1, this game has so much to do with no incentive to do any of it after the new game smell wears off.

I know you're supposed to get the whip after you beat the campaign but a lot of people are getting them early from engram drops.
I got mine mad early on in the campaign. My brother is at the end of the campaign and still hasn't gotten one but he has like 5 different space ships.
Raid you should be 270 think you only have to be 260 to unlock it. I'm ready to try it but it ain't easy I've watched shyt on it.

if you get/buy a sparrow from tess, you can equip it....i thought the same about having to beat the story, was hoofing it every where, then 1 day when taking a sparrow out the vault to put on my hunter to be ready, the shyt went straight in the slot, and i aint been walking since....and i still havent beat the story....
