destiny is one of the first true shooter/mmo/action/etc hybrid games for a console that was successful...so going forward, games that try a mix like that, will be following destiny's blueprint...

exs: division.....copied so much, it even copied it down to leveling of the gear (green, blue, purple, yellow)....and based off the early info, what do you think anthem gonna be? a 3rd person destiny like game...

also, from the beta, you can tell this game is set up to really make a run at esports/leagues, and become a major player...by that i mean having reg sponsored tourneys, both console and pc...

like i said: people can deny it, but the destiny franchise is gonna be remembered as game changing, especially this gen...cats can either get down or lay down, but the train aint gonna stop no time soon....

a poor man's halo? lol if you say so.....it is ground breaking/game changing cause while yes, it is a shooter first, the other elements are just as much a part of destiny, which is why i said it was the first game of it's kind to be successful.....nothing feels like a tacked on addition to any other part, which is key with a game blending so many genres.....it's a reason the division didnt catch on like many thought it would...

no, destiny was not supposed to be a 10 year game...destiny the franchise is supposed to be 10 years, which includes multiple games...all that was said in the lead up to the release of the first game....just like the extra stuff that was charged for, and what stuff would be free....the raids, expansion dlc, etc. was stated to be charged for...while other mini events that happened throughout the year were gonna be free....

no, i didnt take time off destiny...the grind was real when the game first dropped, so there was no time to take off if you wanted to level shyt up....after the major changes with the house of wolves expansion, the grind to level up was less, but there was a bunch of shyt to go after.....so basically i played the shyt for 3 years straight lol....i played other games, but destiny was the main one...i did everything you could do in the game, collected every weapon/piece of gear, etc., and helped others do it too....i stopped the beginning of this year....not cause i was bored, the game was still fun, but felt like working on my backlog and playing some of the new games that were dropping.....anyway, of course some people left, that happens with every game, but gamers werent leaving in waves like you implied initially....the retention of gamers on destiny was strong for the first 3 years....

uhh, no, it was always 3 games.....the thing that changed wasnt the amount of games, but the amount of expansions...initially they said 1-2 every year in between main game releases, but that was unrealistic, which they quickly found out...that's when they started doing the free events, to go along with the expansions....
