Lol I actually put this shyt on and in the end of the song forgot that I was listening to it

If R&B ain't super creative today a la the shyt that The Dream brought back that gave us Miguel, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean etc I fall asleep.

It's a good cool 90s feeling song though, but nothing special.

It has a early 90's vibe.
I like the instrumental,
more than their actual vocals,
nonetheless,
All these n1ggas owe,
Sade and Prince,
a fat check.

Gotcha. Still strongly disagree in the case of Miguel & Frank, but I gotcha.
What I said, was not that The-Dream gave them a style to run with.
But he brought back creative R&B, shyt was so standard before him, Ne-yo and all these dudes were standard ass hell.

But Dream brought it back, trying new styles, new "moods" of songs, real talk etc. The shyt that Kells, Usher and them were doing in the 90s, early 2000s.

But he's still brought a thing to the table which would be the stadium sounding R&B, like Franks The Pyramid & Piloj Jones a lot of Weeknd songs but not so much Miguel.

I agree that he was one of the first to start getting creative with it on a mainstream level, but Miguel has always had his own style and has been making creative R&B for a long time. Check the Mischeif Mixtape from 2008. And I think Frank's style is completely different from The Dream, don't see the influence there at all, but that's just me.
