Norfeast groovin…
He was getting turned out

All them gay jokes had me thinking that. shyt got a little too funny for me to keep listening. Like I fr wouldn’t be surprised if he came out cuz some of that shyt towards the end was :dame:

All in all, I’m glad Cam pulled up and lifted that NYC inspired podcast game up to the heights it belonged in.

Desus an NT breh, but the bodega boys is proof of Liberal media castrating folks to fit their mold and only getting the muzzle off if its going at liberal ops.

Its literally like taking TLR cats before this site went to shyt and censoring them and saying dont be toxic when being toxic when their definition of toxic is legit just saying what is on your mind lol
I remember feeling like their shyt got watered down when they went to Vice, then on the first episode of the Showtime show they were interviewing AOC. :what:

I don't dislike AOC but that's not what I wanted to see from them.

To be fair here it took a little while for Mero to figure it out on his own with the content. He did a few variations on things on his YouTube that weren’t really very funny before his next opportunities came up.

It's the whole "Manufactured Urbaness" like someone said this is "black shyt for white people" and not really a "from the people to the people" platform. Because everyone knows in real convo people say off the wall shyt, but these nikkas aren't KKK members or some shyt where they preaching hate and you gotta police folks.

He looks depressed and aged in that teaser clip on the first page.

Looks like he went to Hollywood with high hopes, got chewed up and spit out, dropped by his white boyfriend(s)...and now he's back in NY starting from scratch.

Meanwhile Mero's never really not had a job since. :manny:

They should’ve never split up. Hollywood had Desus feeling like he would be the next Jimmy Kimmel when he already had a good thing going with his boy who wanted to keep it safe because Mero didn’t have the talent.

Industry didn’t want Mero like that but at least he has the radio job. But the little gigs he was doing here and there like the Carmelo thing felt like survival. Now could he have started off on his own and built something from scratch — probably not. I’ve seen some clips of him at Hot 97 it’s not something I want to tune into over and over again

Meanwhile, this new Desus show looks miserable. He needs a job writing for SNL.

You’re giving Desus far too much credit. He didn’t make it because he’s not a genuine cat. You see it every time there’s something to riff on, even going back to the Bodega Boys days. No one who programmed for a living would make as many mistakes recalling coding processes and principles as much as that nikka has. This show is trash. Meanwhile, by staying true to the fact that he’s a washed New Yorker (and proud of it), victory light makes for a far more engaging and entertaining listening experience. Yeah, the sketches are fukking dumb, but they are completely in line with Mero’s personality. I never know which Desus is going to show up.
