Maybe it's my fault for not wording it better. Here are the four different episodes they dissed Ak.

BX pride aside, yes. Their humor is very NY-centric, so when they're talking about stuff they did or places they've been, it's easy to listen and be "oh shyt I know what they're talking about." Their brand of humor is very authentic. If it wasn't Desus and Mero and it was 2 dudes on the back of a bus talkin shyt, it'll still hit home. That's how we get down. They're easy to root for. My parents are in their mid 60s and even they get some of the humor just cuz they've lived here for so long.
They're not for everyone. Not every comedian is.

There weren't. The last time they really poked at him was in the segment where Joe Budden was calling Ak the biggest p*ssy he ever met. They don't go out of their way to mention Ak any more than anyone else. Ak is a not a central part of their material. None of this snowballs into this week had Ak not mentioned them by name on Twitch and he even said as much this afternoon, to the point where he didn't say anyone's name anymore, let alone theirs.

Did you watch Everyday Struggle? Joe and Akademiks would repeatedly say they were Vendors and didn't work for Complex. The moderator Nadeska works for Complex. Akademiks makes more from his channel than Complex.
I never said Desus and Mero werent but I doubt Desus and Mero are contracted vendors of thier own Television show.
Because I saw lies and bullshyt in this thread and it was hard not to comment. I haven't been on here in months. No I'm not Akademiks. But I'm like 80% sure I know Mero and Desus' coli accounts

Desus & Mero talk about everybody, everything, even guests come on there and they talk about D&M coming at their necks.
But Ak is mentioned a couple times on their show as he's part of a story they're discussing and people want to go

Desus & Mero now while they are on TV get as much internet traffic as DJ Akademiks did in 2016 - pre Complex / Everyday Struggle.
DJ Akademiks average is pretty much the same as last year with huge peaks which i'll attribute to that gif / Migos moment and Vic in 2017.
Just looking at Ak's youtube channel preview. Over the last week he's probably had 2/3m views for his videos he's put out in that time span.
I don't watch aK'Sshyt. I consider him someone who has taken the content from The Coli and the internet in general and profited from it. To me that makes him a fukkboy and a good opportunist. On these internet streets he's always been more relevant than these cats.
