Sure on a 40k model 3 it's.probably fine but if you got a 100k model s, you would want the paint to look nice at the very least or maybe for the door handle to work.

The only people that would notice it is owners and Elon doesn't know shyt lol
This is a engineering/manufacturing problem. Tesla is a new company that is dealing with problems other companies have already solved years ago. They'll eventually figure it out.

Think the richest man on earth doesnt know shyt brehs...

Most folks, especially Tesla owners, don’t care about the detailing to this degree. Elon knows his audience

this is the equivalent of an audio enthusiast complaining about the quality of Spotify audio to the masses...

This has been a complaint of Tesla since they first started mass producing cars with the Model S. Tesla owners care, cuz these inadequacies range from minor aesthetics to noticeable things such as cabin noise and ergonomics.

Being a new car company (I believe they’re the first new car company in the US since like the 40s or some shyt), they’ve had a lot to learn about running a car company so things that have become standard practice in the industry can be a challenge to Tesla. This goes from fit/finish issues to service woes to logistical problems with parts.

Tesla owners do care. Some owners suck it up by calling themselves “beta testers” so they use mental gymnastics to pretend they signed up for this while others just suck it up cuz the pros outweigh the cons. :manny:

Owned a Model 3 SR+ and upgraded to a Model Y LR. No issues.

Of course, a Tesla vehicle isn't on par with other manufacturers in terms of build quality, those others that has been in the game for over 100 years. Tesla's value is in the battery/tech.

Also, that is an earlier Model 3 (2018 or 19), based off the chrome trim, they've gotten better about this type of stuff.

Edit: I also believe this is a result of Tesla rushing cars out to meet quarterly goals in exchange of having the service centers fix these issues for the buyers that REALLY care.

Might be nitpicky but I'd be willing to bet some of those oversights can lead to real problems down the road especially those loose gaskets.

They won't be able to touch an Audi, Mercedes, or BMW regarding fit and finish because they don't have the experience or expertise. Tesla just started mass producing cars within the past 5 years.

But if you're a Tesla owner, you probably know this going in and don't care. :yeshrug:
