This man talked about his personal reasons for doing this, and it went back to his attendance record in school.
I would give you the psychology of school structure as it relates to preparing us to play a specific role in capitalism… but you probably wouldn’t get it and just start arguing.

Keep praising and celebrating pro-corporate puff pieces like these, parroting "lazy american" talking points while the U.S. continues to be the only country that doesn't offer paid family leave, 1 of 6 countries that doesn't offer any national paid leave, one of the highest annual hours worked countries in the world, a country where worker productivity has increased more than 400% since 1950 while wages and standard of living has stagnated or not kept pace, while the us retirement age increased to 67 - cutting 13% of earnings benefits - while politicians banter about increasing the age of retirement even further

My girl pops retired at 48 from the Ford factory here in chi as a foreman. Gets a fat ass pension. He started when he was 21

His knees, shoulders, wrists all fukked up from years of repetitive movement
Yeah, I worked at Honda in Ohio for a short time a a welder on the line. The repetitive bending into the car frame and welding the same spot 8-10 hrs a day, adds up on the body as far as wear and tear.

Retired at 48 gotta be:wow:

No responsibilities equals poor work ethics. These posters don't understand this because they have nobody depending on them so they can afford to talk stupid and be lazy.
Disagree. People now realize this type of loyalty is useless to today's work environment. Especially if didn't make time in his personal life.

Thats something thats in him breh. Some people can't do what he did if their life depend on it. Even if they worked for themselves. Do you believe people magically become hard workers for a corporation or is it something thats already in them?

As a man, I commend his integrity

As a black man, I commend his commitment to providing and being an example for others in terms of maximizing an opportunity through sheer hard work and determination

As a black man who understands the dynamics of working from a millennial perspective, these companies don’t give a single fukk about you, so as long as I exceed expectations (which I always do) there is no honor in being a “good employee” (I’m a effective/efficient employee)

Story has nothing to do with him being "a company man", exploited by capitalism or any of the other shyt being brought up here.
He’s still being exploited and not to take back as much as possible is just living wrong
