Y’all act like the plant was open on Christmas, or he worked 24/7. And everyone talking about making a white man rich is immature and unrealistic. He was getting PAID. His family is provided for. Would it be better if it was a black owned company?
In a vacuum, no, it wouldn't.

Can y'all stop being contrarian now?

In a perfect world, he would be seen as a beacon of greatness and someone everyone should strive to be like.

But this is the real world and he is there total opposite of what I just said.

He is not the total opposite of anything. He’s just a brother who never missed a day of work, and looks and sounds healthy as hell

So he worked on the weekends? Is the plant open 7 days?
Track meets are during the week except the larger regional/state ones, which is why my parents never went to mine.

.......and there are plenty of plants that run 24/7. It also said he never took a vacation day.......in 29 years!

Most of you miserable muthafukkas didn’t watch the video

Its not about “making the white man money” its about how he was RAISED.

He was raised to be responsible. Dude also had perfect attendance throughout his years of schooling as well. His parents taught him that being punctual was a personal value and he also says he grew up admiring athletes commitment to their craft whether they were hurt or sick.

We talk about endlessly about Ja Morant and how he has influence on kids and fans as a face of the league but do we talk about AC Green, or Kareem Abdul Jabbar or Michael Jordan for being iron men who went out and gave their all every single game and how that might impact someone’s since of duty and responsibility?

Anyone in here clowning a man for having some inner code of ethics that helped him provide for himself and his family are just as bad as those Thots you always complain about who only glorify gangstas and drug dealers. You’re all of the same ilk. Daring to demean a BLACK MAN who showcased pride and inner fortitude even if all he was was a welder.

You all disgust me
Huge pocket watching energy throughout this thread. But shouldn’t expect much from a bunch of folks who look up to grifters and finessers while being taken advantage of by those same people while thumbing their noses at the working man/woman.

It’s crazy folks whining about this man missing time with family consider this particular sub forum seems to hate the traditional family construct and celebrates losers who don’t believe in it either. The pandemic showed us folks don’t really wanna be round their families that damn much.
