Women get mentioned in most city thread, but the comments aren't necessarily positive, saying that people are "sleeping" on the selection of women in Detroit is false. Someone almost always makes sure to tell us about Detroit women. And people approaching or not isn't relevant to whether they know Detroit females in general look good or not.

Another city brehs do this with is Charlotte but having actually been to Charlotte I know they're gassing.

I'm an hold head (49) Detroit born and bred, I got married, had children and fled to the suburbs in the late 1990's. My older brother is dentist and so is his wife, he initially moved to a big house in Farmington Hills, he didnt like it and moved to Indian Village which is an upscale enclave on the eastside right outside of downtown, not too far from the mayors residence (Manoogian Mansion), I have a few other friends I grew up with who reside in Palmer Woods and the University District which is near the University of Detroit. I grew up on the west side, my old neighborhood is semi-stable and I still have friends who live there, I've stated before in other threads, in Detroit you will have three blocks of beautiful well kept homes, then the next block will look bombed out with plenty of blight and abandonment, this goes on for miles and miles in the city. A lot of the blight and vacant lots are due to arabs and a few other races, coming in the city buying houses and burning them down for insurance settlements. For reasons unknown, most of these potential arson cases were not pursued, and these folks used "Devils Night" to commit these crimes in the 1980's and 90's. Back to your question on where Detroit brothers live, some like myself moved to the burbs, there are some people like my older brother and a few others I grew up with who can afford to live elsewhere but decide not too, and still live in Detroit. I have two uncles who still reside in the hood, one is in his 70's retired from Ford he's getting a pension and social security, his neighborhood is wild, he can afford to move but will not. My other uncle is in his early 80's, he was a street dude in the 1960's and 1970's, he could move if he wanted to, but he likes living in the hood. They are proud Detroiters and refuse to move. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the city, but Detroit, like other cities is being gentrified, right now they are focusing on the area from the waterfront to the W.Grand Blvd. Detroit is a 142 square miles, so they have a lot of land to gentrify.

This guy can live anywhere he wants, but he also lives in Detroit, he stated that when he's out of town on business and he tells people he's from Detroit they always assume he's from Bloomfield Hills or Grosse Pointe, but said he always corrects them and tells them that he's from "Detroit".

Appreciate the write up bruh, this was a great post.

As a Canadian bruh, Detroit was always been dope to me cause I had some family in Windsor and growing up for “vacation” my family would drive up to see them for 4-5 days and we’d always cross the boarder and spend a day in Detroit. So I got fond memories running around downtown as a shorty but I do remember it being more grimey and rundown than it is today, this was the late 90s/early 2000s before the gentrification.

Detroit has such a rich history and culture and I’ve always been drawn to learning more about how the city has transformed the past 100 years. I mean the fukking Auto Industry and the assembly line were invented in Detroit, not to mention electronic/house music. I read this book in University:

And this book provided a lot of insight into how the city developed socially, politically and economically after deindustrialization and the ways in which the city was transformed geographically. As a Detroit native, it might be something worth checking it out, although I’m sure you know the whole story.

What's your reason for coming to those areas?

I used to play hockey growing up so we’d have tournaments in Saginaw or Erie PA but I’d also go to Erie and Buffalo for shopping mainly as a shorty with my fam. A lot of Canadian brehs in here can relate. That shyt was vacation for us :russ:

My thoughts exactly :merchant:

Downtown Detroit is cool. Some dope bars and restaurants, beautiful old buildings, some decent shopping it’s just tiny.

Outside of downtown :picard: it’s just shocking.. as a Canadian breh who goes over the border to Buffalo / Detroit / Erie (PA) often, Detroit just different.

Where do Detroit nikkas typically live? Cause everywhere I drove outside of downtown seemed like it had on every block abandoned crumbling squatter homes. Homes that look like they were hit by bombs

Any Detroit Coli nikkas can speak on this?

White flight....You know whole movies were made on this. Detroit is the Northern Memphis. White folks left to West Memphis and "Whiteshaven". In Detroit, people left the city from the 80s-2010s. Now Downtown and Midtown are white millennials. Therefore white people are moving back.

1) Detroit Women are after that check. Bruh's have been doing so bad that just doing normal day to day stuff like owning a house is crazy for a single man there. Only in Detroit do people have to get rooms that LIVE in the city.

2) Dudes have no game there. They really don't approach correctly. Go to casinos and its like shooting fish in a barrel.

If cats are doing that bad and babies are still being born they can't be that much about a check. And this speaks on on their mentality and availability not necessarily how good they look.

We migrate and take shyt over nikka. Coming to a hood near :umad:
nikka that's cuz half the city left to go to ATL during the 08 recession. Detroiters got southern roots anyways.
