You can write off 100% of a vehicle as an expense if it's bought under your business....

but that commercial car insurance gonna be whooping yo ass

Or if the car is a business lease. But it is not that much of a flex because if you are paying the dealership retail price, and you add on the interest and deduct the depreciation. There is little financial gain. The balloon payment on a car like that would be insane. But you cannot claim any vehicle as a tax write off.

As a business owner the answer is yes you can write off your personal vehicle if you use it for business but typically it’s never 100%. Like you’re bound to use your vehicle for personal reasons too. Look at trump, he uses his haircuts as an expense.
