I didn't say it started with Hip Hop. And while the "The hyper violent, hyper sexual buck" stereotype has been around since the antebellum south. I think you greatly underestimate Hip Hop cultures impact(especially negatively) in tandem with the digital age we live in.

I was only using Hip Hop as an example. Not condemning it, or saying IT is the ONLY factor.
