I always wonder why poor people in NYC try to hang in there. All the richest people from the planet want to be there and the cost of living reflects that.
A warehouse job can afford you a place to live in VA or TN somewhere.
I don't know what kinda job in NYC affords you a place to live, but the rents in NYC are higher than my total monthly income. Like 2x or 3x. Yes I am a broke boi, but in NC it's fine. Even saving guap every month.

Let me tell you, as we're about to be the 4th biggest economy in the world (passing Germany), California doing shyt with that money to make this state any better.
I'm betting the money that's supposed to go to efforts such as roadwork, trash cleanup, etc. is getting the bare minimum to keep it running while most of the money is being pocketed.
I've been staring at the same potholes all up and down La Cienega, La Brea, etc. that have been wrecking cars for nearly 2 decades. The same trash dumps all around LA not being cleaned up on the streets, a bunch of homeless people and traffic because they haven't widened the roads through chokepoints, closed businesses everywhere in rundown buildings, etc.
Like we just literally cleaned up the streets because China visited. I'm sure there are much better places around the world that do much more with less.
