Companies are cutting THOUSANDS of jobs to just pass those savings onto investors and the top level execs. Just being greedy. They want constant growth and infinite profits. That is not sustainable.

Even the bill last week to stop corporations from buying single family homes. I thought it was a victory, especially in the Senate with an 89-10 vote, to do something about the ridiculous price of homes due to corporations being allowed to buy single family homes. Come to find out these goofys made the limit 350 homes in the damn bill.

Anyone over that will just break their companies or "sell" to shell companies to keep their limit below 350 to buy more inventory. It is BEYOND ridiculous in Atlanta the amount of homes owned by corporate investment firms and you know they'll be grandfathered in. Home ownership is one of the gateways to generational wealth and with interest rates and prices of homes nowadays, who can afford one? Rent prices are over triple from 20 years ago in most major metro areas. shyt is not sustainable and the government don't give a fukk with lobbyists paying off congressmen to let their corporations run wild.

it's time for another French Revolution and shyt. Bring the guillotine out.

Nvidia isn't "obligated" to talk to actual devs about DLSS5. But I can understand the courtesy somewhat especially knowing that the goal is remove humans from the equation, especially game artists.

I get Producers and Directors but why would some random gameplay dev or artist need to be consulted on this?
Capcom are the ones that own the IP. The game those devs and artists produce is owned by them as well. Capcom owns all of that. Whether that’s morally right is another question but at the end of the day the execs are the ones that have the say in what partnerships Capcom make with other companies, not devs and artists.

I know stan wars gonna stan war but for what it's worth I just look at this from the perspective of infringing on an artist's work.

Laws exist already that prohibit you from reading a book and then remixing it to write your own version.
Laws exist already that prohibit you from hearing a song and making your own version. Pharell got his pants sued off over a song "feeling" like another song.

Artists, especially black artists, have gotten robbed left and right without impunity of their original ideas.
It's a really slippery slope to have a 'who cares' or 'artist need to git gud' attitude.
I'm not oblivious to technology not going away. I'm not trying to block the sun with my hand.

I just want there to be better checks and balances on the use of AI.
For starters, AI should have to provide source data for it's output.
Original artists should be paid royalties for their art being used to train AI models.
In the case of these games, let devs decide whether these features are enabled (I'm not sure if they have the ability already)

Try to put yourself in the shoes of someone that created something from scratch and imagine the feeling of seeing that work being remixed without anyone caring about your input what so ever. We should be a little more appreciative of our artists overall.

When they say developers it matters if this is directors and studio leads or just low level coders. Just because you worked on a game and are a developer doesn't mean the higher ups will tell you stuff.
