Someone was just telling me exec admin assistants make $140K at her job, I'm sure assistants in the 80s probably made like $30K at most
My first software job was $65K which was ballin amongst my non tech peers at the time but would be completely laughable insult offer in 2025

Gotta consider cost of living as well. While obviously this isnt as much of an issue for a pro athlete, everything is more expensive now. Teachers are known for being underpaid. They making $60, 70K now. 30 years ago thats ballin. Now you can barely support a spouse, let alone a family on that.

Nope its the same. A result of cheap/ and/or incompetent owners creating a choice between winning and getting your money. A choice that only exists in sports. Any other industry, if you are the best and you work for the best you get paid like it, you dont have to choose. Thats why I had no smoke for Dame and have none for Book.
