Zeldar: a classic track that presages Kendrick's weirdo voice switches

Reefer & Beer: Hilarity and bliss in hip hop/r&b/redneck voice harmonizing

(is that a gloria estefan sample?)

Doobie Ashtray: simply classic

Does anyone have a copy of this joint? I can't find it on my external. :noah:

low key Kendrick bit Devon's steez on kill my vibe especially on the hook

This reminds me of driving up north with whosane for him to do this show in the humble bumble. This album had just came out and we knocked it the whole way up. After the show we got lost and stuck on a dirt road trying to find some party and ended up having to sleep in the whip because we couldn't get out. Next morning we had to knock on the nearest house's door hoping not to get shot. Amazingly and not surprising the woman who answered the door was from upstate NY and invited us in, called for a truck and helped some city boys the f*^k out. In hindsight I think this album might have helped convince him that he could professionally execute all these ideas, personas and voices he wanted to do. Seems to have worked out 10+ years later and this album is an all time fav for me. Top 10 for sure. Top five sometimes like when I keep a 1/5 in the trunk and f*%k a ugly bi#$h but ask mel it's only when I'm drunk....

**snorts 29seconds**

Crazy to hear odd squad on devin's rap-a-lot albums, after hearing blind rob story about how, everything went down and how devin ended up a solo artist.

http://www.redbullmusicacademy.com/magazine/noz-pit-stop-houston2

Face did some snake shyt and bought devin from lil j behind the crew's back, members of face mob was living with them, and little did they know, face broke them(odd squad) up and they didnt know, just so devin can be apart of his group and a solo artist for him. I know that had to be a fukked up feelin know yall a crew cant get a release on the 2nd album, but one of the members is in a brand new group that dropped more than one album

Then when it dawned upon them what was goin on, devin quit fukkin with face, facemob and rap-a-lot all together, got released then lil j started releasing songs and shyt that was sittin up for yrs, and they didnt see a dime.

Face and rap-a-lot fukked up one of the dopest movements coming up out the south and held them back for their own personal greed. I will always fukk with devin, he was loyal to all his homeboys he came in with, even when the crew got shelved, he made sure the beats and the vocals got on his albums
