Yes, the box office receipts and streaming numbers for Black dramatic films don't lie.
Very small audience that wants to see this type of content, social media hot air aside.
This is why producers think they have to add extras and stretch creative license when they present serious Black cinema. To attract a wider audience. And 9 times out of ten, they are right.

Bet, I'll check it out this weekend as long as.....edit nevermind, read the true story.Saw it over the weekend. I really liked it. Weird that all the people complaining about lack of Black male straight leads haven't been posting their reviews.
I'm sure the people who needed to see the movie feel great. That's good numbers.

This movie has only made about $14 million at the box office. People want non-comic book movies, but don't show up for shyt. 
people let the move flop. another weekend and only 17.5 million total since it's release.
