I didn't watch it but it seems pretty stupid to me to have two versions of Dexter going at once. It would be like having two Batmans at the same time. This show is so good and brought back so much goodwill I can see why they put their eggs in this basket

Nah, it works because it’s two completely different timelines and you can have one on in the summer and another in winter.
Both shows had the same vibe and Resurrections has already shown direct connections and clips from the prequel.

Resurrection has been using footage from " Original Sin" in several flashbacks
My guess is Paramount saw the budget of producing both shows and said fruck that , cause they had mad guest stars this season. Hopefully CACS backlash online and they bring it back.

Might be the drunk driver that killed prater's folks that died in prison that's why he is inactive and prater is making the calls reliving the moments he confessed to him during their friendship
or could be Elsa and she stopped killing cause her kid caught asthma 
I can see this, just because I think his only appearance was him being introduced to Dexter and Blessing's daughter saying he specializes in gut stuff.
Seems like Dexter's showrunner moved all of the writers from Original Sin to Resurrections so the prequel never got started on season 2.
