I rewatched to season 8 recently and it has aged at all. This is up there with Watchmen, Sopranos, Wire, Game of Thrones, etc shows. I'm glad I gave it a chance on a whim in 2006Doakes is one of the GOAT TV characters!

I wanna see this Sexy more than the, "I need to love Humanity Dexter." Him being a father is detrimental to his ways of killing. It's like Batman being a father to Damian. That dynamic is only cool cause Damian took up the mantle of Robin, had he not Batman would be moved to a corner of boredom IMHO.
Dexter needs to shed Harrison or get Harrison involved.
Dexter Morgan got toned down dramatically after the pilot episode. In the first episode he was actually torturing people. Once season 1 got going he just killed people quickly with a stab to the heart. I'm sure the showrunners (correctly) figured that audiences weren't going to follow a true evil character for multiple seasons.
