definitely gonna check this out just based off the cast alone but do I need to watch New Blood or Original Sin before I start this?

I really don’t want to watch the other spinoffs if I don’t have to

watch New Blood Before diving into this. New Blood is really Good until the finale, however this series (Resurrection) course corrects New Blood
so watch it first and it will give you time to catch up, this just started its a weekly release of 10 episodes, we are on episode 3 this won't end till September.

It's a tie to me....I'm enjoying the show so far. Dexter is gonna get beacoup kills and Batista dies this season.

Theories:

-Batista is killed by one of the serial killer guild. Uma Thurman kills him to save Dexter.

-Uma will grow suspicious about Dexter and the deaths of the members.

I think Harrison dies too and this pushes Dexter to finally becoming evil and killing anything.

Which leads to Quinn capturing him

-The death of Harrison will prolly push him over the edge. He already died before. So he is pretty much gonna flip out. Also the West African family will die too. I think the mother will die or daughter, cause the series hates women and likes to kill off all women in some fashion. Hence why Uma was brought on.

I almost can't imagine doing that...but I'm glad to hear that the show stands alone to someone not familiar with any of the characters.

I feel like this is the most "Comic Bookish" that the show has ever been. It really is "Serial Killer MCU".
I'm not really complaining, because its entertaining and that's really all you can ask for

Watched both episodes. Really good imo. The story of how Dexter finds harrison is believable. But you can tell they just wanted to get pass the entire iron lake situation. How Angela just gave up on Dex being the bay harbor butcher and drops all investigations is crazy.

Also the dude Harrison killed was comically evil lol. Like they went out there way to show us this was a creep. I kept laughing as he was saying stuff like (there will always be more girls) while on the ground already lol.

But all in the all the vibe is Dexter and thats a good thing. The most interesting storyline here is Batistia tracking Dexter. Hopefully Quinn shows up (i know he was name dropped)

I'm glad in today's episode we get to see

Quinn (which I expected) but also Matsuka.
I'm surprised Batista didn't mention that Dexter was alive to them. As we've seen in Original Sin, Matsuka was actually they one who recruited Dexter at the job fair.

Agree, you really let a notorious serial killer slide because he helped you close a case about your missing best friend!? Even after he killed your deputy!? Nah they needed a better explanation.

But I didn’t want to see anymore of that iron lake shyt anyway so I’m not mad they wrapped it up quick.

Another good episode. The kill scene was vintage Dexter. Also good to see Quinn and Masuka. Batista said when the time is right they'll know. I think this is just hinting Batista is gonna die this season. Probably by someone from the serial killer group.
