Next season I hope we get a Claudette flashback episode to show how her obsession with the NY ripper nearly ruined her career.
In these cable dramas those types of episodes are usually GOATed... Sofia Falcone flashback episode in Penguin, Mike flashback episode in Better Call Saul, etc.
All this serial killer in NYC fukkery reminds me of "Son of Sam" who was a real life serial killer in NYC in the 70s, creh had the whole city shook

Alright the first episode was good not great.
I got ai excited to see all the cameos. Angel being face to face with Dexter brought a smile to my face.

I just finished episode 2. I miss Dexter's dry humor.
For a guy with such dark tendencies, he sure as hell makes friends easily.

Overall the whole season was great.
I'm still skeptical over how many times the show has burned me when it's tried ti end the story in the past.
Even if for once it was fun to see a show i enjoyed have one more great season.
I normally hate call back lines in revivals to ogs, but I think the end would have been a good time to say, "Hello, Dexter Morgan."

Man what a return to form. I feel like in some ways the budget seems smaller than it was during the original run but this was as good as anything they've done.

This wasn't particularly good. Plot holes, bad writing, bad acting, pretty much everyone on the show is unlikeble, all kinds of retcon, and it was full of overly convenient nonsense like Dexter somehow finding plastic wrap in Praters pent, w/ keys to the boat and all that. We get it...he's getting away with it pretty much scot free. It sounds like I'm being harsh...but I'm not...I liked it. I wanna see Dexter win. As long as its suspenseful. They're right, he is 'exactly who he needs to be...exactly who I want him to be'. Now he's got a bunch of targets with the files he has, and some threats with the killers and law enforcement that he's met that could potentially be on his trail. Hopefully they bring back Uma and keep some continuity between seasons. They did a good job trying to recapture that lightening in a bottle of why we liked the show in the first place. They gave me some nostalgia with older, familiar, beloved characters and got rid of alot of the shyt I didn't like...like Alaska or wherever that New Blood bullshyt was set. I said I was done with the Dexter universe after that one, But fukk...they got me again. Why do I put myself thru this. See ya next season.

Why does everyone who suspects him lose their mind and just do stupid sloppy shyt? The person that went about it the best was Quinn and at a certain point (I forgot the specifics) he said "fukk it". Everybody but sheriff girlfriend ended up dead in totally avoidable ways.

Because they were so consumed it caused them to operate outside their respective levels. Not sure if it was on purpose but outside some major hiccups Dexter always showed controlled pursuit, these folks moved sloppy, loud and not secretive, or they had no actual plan, doaks did but then Dexter didn’t go down easy and that was his bad
