Season 4 was pretty good, but that series ended right there as far as I am concerned. Started rewatching lately to see how I felt about the first 2 seasons. The ending still gives me goosebumps.

Showtime fukked it up.

True. Dexter didn't deserve a happy or even mutual ending. That season was a solid end to the story imo

He dipped his hand in the cookie jar with a killer just as sly as him in trinity and ended up getting Rita killed and basically getting a head start on turning Harrison into him

i was never interested in rita and dexter getting together

That's an L....season 4 was easily the best and had a GOAT level villain and ending.

I vividly remember sitting there quiet as hell after the credits rolled for a good minute or two to digest what I just saw. I never do that

It should have ended at season 4.

They should have made a stronger season finale for season 3.

That would have made it perfect.

The season finale for season 3 was so bad, that a lot of people dismiss the entire season when it was really pretty good.
