And I think the rule is fine....you should need to maintain possession of the ball as you go to the ground.

My issue is with the interpretation....since when is lunging forward not considered a football move?

like I said, CLEARLY a catch. refs got it wrong. he had possession before going to the ground

He has to MAINTAIN possession all the way through.

Item 1: Player Going to the Ground. If a player goes to the ground in the act of catching a pass (with or without contact by an opponent), he must maintain control of the ball throughout the process of contacting the ground, whether in the field of play or the end zone. If he loses control of the ball, and the ball touches the ground before he regains control, the pass is incomplete. If he regains control prior to the ball touching the ground, the pass is complete.

I think it's clear he was going to the ground as part of the catch, and then lunged.

This is why it falls squarely on Dez, if he just focused on controlling the ball through the ground, he wouldn't have ate such a big L

These dudes don't know shyt, let them have it.

Possession through the ground, everyone knows that, except for those who`re willfully ignoring it because either A)they wanna suck Dez or B) Cowgirl stans

I don't think it's clear at all. Defender didn't even touch him. He loses his balance in a desperate attempt to lung for the goalline. Which is what every receiver in the league is gonna do when they catch a ball within the 5 yard line. At the 30, I don't think he goes down, I think he sprints pass the falling defender. I've seen him do this before

I can see why folks are arguing that he was falling as a part of the catch, but I don't see it that way.
