Dez Bryant Rolling Stone Interview

Its not a big deal but its still weak stuff. That's not cool however you spin it. Its natural not to throw your friends under the bus esp when he could have said a similar thing without mentioning irvin name. If he would do this I'm not so sure he wouldn't say the same to the cops but they aren't different to me. Also it not about whether Irvin jokes about it himself though its about Dez bringing it up. I wouldn't do that to a friend because its no need to.

I'm sorry I going to give Dez the benefit of the doubt. I know him, I don't know the cac reporter from Rolling Stone. Let's look at the quote:

Yet "they treat me like I'm some kind of one-man crime wave," Bryant says. "I told Mr. Jones, 'I'm not Michael Irvin,' but he wasn't trying to hear me out."

They put those two quotes together but I doubt he said it like that. I bet one quote came earlier in the interview and the second part came later. The second part mentions Irvin, but do we have any context? Maybe Jerry was bringing up the past troubles he had with Irvin and Dez responded like "I'm not him, I'm my own person...". I can't take that excerpt on face value. I bet anything those were two seperate quotes and the writer just put it together to make it look like Dez was calling Mike a "one-man crime wave". The media is slick like this bro.

I honestly think that Irvin comment was more so a "I'm not gonna make the same mistakes he made" type of thing rather than disrespect. Irvin would probably want Dez to think that way anyway to avoid the pitfalls he fell into.

this is how I took it too. he's talking to jerry. jerry loves both players to death. if dez wanted to say some slick shyt about mike on the low, the last person you would tell is Jerry big mouth Jones. come on man this is not a big deal.

He was talking about how David Wells and other people was taking advantage of him. While letting the Rolling Stone writer take advantage of him at the same time. You think that Dez would've learned how to talk to the media by now.

If its like you say I agree but that's not how it was presented so I didn't take it that way and commented on what was initially said. I wouldn't be surprised either way honestly.
