Yup. This is what fukked him up. We (Georgia Tech) lost our 2009 ACC Championship because the AD notified our Coach that the NCAA Investigator would be coming to ask him questions over some gotdamn sweat pants one of the football players got. shyt got returned, but because the AD told our Coach when he was instructed not to let him know, we lost our shyt.

Read the rule. The NCAA doesn't have to have shyt on him but a few words. He's in trouble and A&M knows it. They don't have to prove he took money, but rather intent to, which is what the rule is.

Not that I totally agree with the ESPN/SEC witch hunt, but they kinda have a point.... Who signs roughly 4600 pieces of memorabilia to not get paid?

Who signs 5 or 6 without getting paid?.........when you know the person you're signing for is turning around and selling it for $800?

Johnny Football might get off with no punishment, or maybe not. But whatever the outcome, this is definitely becoming the straw that breks the NCAA's back in regards to their hypocrisy.

Texas A&M deserves some of the blame for this as well because they are not doing nothing. I remember when Peter Warrick and Coles got busted for getting the hook up at Dillards in 1999. Florida State was ranked No. 1 and Warrick was a legit Heisman canidate and FSU suspened him. It seems like Texas A&M don't care.

I dont think that's the case. I think it's more they are treating it like the Cam Newton situation. If he gets caught by the NCAA, then wait til that happens. Until then, there's a HUGE game early in the season at Kyle Field against Alabama. Perhaps the biggest upset rematch in CFB in years.
Either way, I don't think the team itself is liable for any of this.

It's funny that you mention that... I was just discussing the other day that incident probably cost FSU the title vs OU(my team). If it would have been any coach other than Bobby Bowden, they would have covered it up. I also believe that game is the reason cover-ups happen more often.

Exactly. The other athletes who didnt sign nearly as many still didnt do it from the kindness of their heart.
