It really depends on what the OC calls. He could be bracketed all season yet they do other things to get him open like they did most of the season. But if that bracketing is getting others open, an OC will gladly continue to use him as a decoy.

Wanting the ball isn't the issue. If being bracketed all game opens it for everyone else, you're doing your job. All of these "he's not a big game" idiots in here using basketball measures for a game like football make no sense. If one player is drawing enough attention to get the offense moving for others, who gives a fukk about his stars if the defense is matching his every step and leaving others open? It's not a "fault." You take advantage of that like the Cowboys offense did.

This is why I can careless about these shytty measures. 85 Super Bowl, the pats shut down Walter Payton. Everywhere he went, they overcommitted. It opened it up for everyone else. That's how football works

when he choked in the playoffs and put up piss poor numbers it was because he was double teamed and the offense was allowing other receivers to eat.
