Been playing this for a bit. Despite the game feeling like a slog, holy hell the atmosphere and soundtrack is a vibe.

Nah, the seasons are free (outside of the battle pass, on obviously). There's bits that require locations from the expansion, so there'll be some items you won't be able to get, but if you just want to jump in to fukk around a bit, in fairly certain you can get most of the experience without it.

Vessel of Hatred itself is the only paid "expansion".

Finally got around to this because it was on sale and for the longest, I thought this needed a sub like WoW to play

Say what yall want, but I'm having fun so far. Maybe it's because it's my first Diablo but I can't complain at the moment

yeah, I'm bout to get back on this seriously this year before the next expansion drop. They really streamlined alot of their features and made it very easy for ppl who were early adopters and left and then returned. Came back after a year and instantly leveled up my Druid and decked them out in Leggos.... Plus they brought back my favorite class archetype, The Paladin (the Crusader was my shyt in DIII ).

I need to find a guild or squad to run with, cause co-op still looks fun on this game.

the first story run ain't even bad. its all the end-game shyt that pushed people away - which is kinda what folks expect out of diablo

had a ton of fixes and up and downs since launch. but on sale you can't really go wrong with it right now

Had to bump the difficulty to Hard early on...Normal was way too easy.

I'm level 24 now and some of these hordes are straight hilarious. Minions just popping up and flying in out of nowhere

Running a sorcerer right now and unlocked the hydra summon
