I experienced ALL this and was born in the late 70’s :mjlol:

If you were born in 1984 you were 6/7 when pac popped off and 11/12 when he died. You ain’t experience shyt you were a kid the whole time

And this nikka look older than me
Being born in the 80’s will premature age you.:unimpressed:

Seriously though we seen some crazy shyt….. and are still seeing crazy shyt.

Born in 87. I barely remember the 90s, missed two years of American pop culture and most of what I do remember is from when I returned in '97. :yeshrug:

Imo ....
I thibk being cognitive for the eighties was better than being born in the eighties.

Like 530 in 1982, when harlock or yamamoto came on. Then followed by battle of the planets at 6a. When you were at the age to get up for school for dolo. Before time for school to watch cartoons.
Discovering those on tv was mind blowing. Little did you know. The best was yet to come.

Especially when robotech came on. Then it was like 1994, rhe sdf came crashing to earth. Had me thinking i was gonna be in a varitech spaceship when they draft me at 18.

Fellowship was better too. As random kids were cooler because who knows. If you get drafted with this kid and need each other to make it back home alive.

Although military shyt was embedded in everything. It was dope because at least the parents were cognitive. We needed some shyt dope enough.
to go fight their wars for what we would find out was drug money.

That still those politicians should be in jail for right now. Which is what is wrong with america.

If you was born in 84/85 ....you actually experience the 90s.

nobody remembers shyt when they were 4 years old. The decade you spent your teenage/young adult years is what really counts
since you get to actually participate in the trends.

Born in 78' also. The late seventies kids are the real 80 babies. We were the GI Joe, He-Man, Transformer, Silver Hawk, Atari/Nintendo kids. We were the first cable kids. We were experienced the New Tech lifestyle first.

I'd say yes. Because by the time we were old enough crack was basically over. But we never lived in segregation, never got drafted into a major war, lived through arguably the golden age of American media and culture (the 90's), the internet hadn't ruined curiosity and interpersonal relationships. Technology was an interest not something that would take your job. Life was much more affordable. Like I think the last time I was truly HOPEFULL about the future was like 2013?

If you were born between like '84 and '88, I wouldn't really call you and 80's baby, but I think you got some of the best America ever had to offer. Earlier and you had some VIVID memories of heroin and crack in the community.

The mid to late 80's had some good culture and music but crack was WILD. Like some of ya'll really do NOT have context for how devastating that shyt was. Whole ass houses and apartment complexes turned into drug dens, unfed unclothed babies walking around crying in the streets, people walking around zombified damn near everywhere. That shyt stays with you. By the time I was a teenager in the late 90's early 2000's we were much more concerned with weed and drinking than crack...and that was way less viceral.

Ngl I wish I got to experience the 80s :manny:

Seemed lit.

Especially the music. They were still playing a lot of 80s music on the radioin the 90s, but it ain't the same as experiencing it live in full effect.
