Did any show have more wasted potential then Boardwalk Empire

Here you have an excellent time period. Some of the most legendary historic criminals ever. But you spend huge swarthy of episodes focusing of an annoying immigrant wife, a droopy face dancer, and trash actor Michael Shannon. Boardwalk Empire should have been legendary but we have a wasted series with an absolute rushed, nonsensical final season because the show runners completely botched the direction

People overreact regarding that show. it really only had 1 bad season out of 5 in my books.

Though i wish Jimmy Darmody could have stuck around somehow.

Season 5 could have been epic if done right but breh wanted to do fukking Vinyl and then got fired from it

When I first heard it was being branded as an anthology show, I really thought we had the next great HBO franchise on our hands. The first season was some of the greatest television I've ever seen. I don't think it's gone for good, but Season 2 was the biggest letdown. Majority already knew McConaughey and Harrelson's performances would not be topped, but the shift in quality was downright mindboggling and don't even get me started on the dialogue. S2 tried way too hard to replica the darkness while also abandoning the cosmic horror elements which played a huge role in the first season. That cast besides Farrell wasn't really all that to begin with either. I knew I should've taken Fukunaga's departure as a warning.

Naw he was dead by the end of the series because they had to skip such a huge time frame since so much focus was on Misses Schrooooder If anything Luciano should have the spinoff since he was the most successful one by series end
