What ever happen to her sons? One went to Alabama and the other went to UF right? Did either one of the pan out?

Miami Hurricanes Football: DT Gerald Willis III taking leave of absence from program

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami announced Thursday that defensive lineman Gerald Willis will be taking a leave of absence from the football program and will not compete during the 2017 season.

“Gerald remains part of the Miami family and may take part in designated team activities,” head coach Mark Richt said.

Willis, a redshirt junior from New Orleans, played in nine games last season for the Hurricanes, posting 19 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Gerald Willis may have a mental illness or brain injury. He was kicked off the University of Florida team before having to take a leave of absence from the University of Miami program.

Miami adds troubled, talented ex-Florida defensive lineman Gerald Willis | Canes Watch

Following his true freshman year with the Gators, he was reportedly dismissed from the team on Jan. 6 after what InsideTheGators called “yet another altercation with a teammate.” Last October, Willis was involved in a scuffle with a teammate that necessitated a police report (the issue: a pair of cleats).

Later in the season, he was benched by then-UF coach Will Muschamp for shoving Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston while standing on the sideline. Muschamp said if he were still the coach, he would have booted Willis from the team. ...

Golden said UM was not discouraged by those reports they found. “We try to do a good background check on everybody, all the players,” Golden said. “We’re not perfect, but in his case it was stuff that was a lot of immaturity and things of that nature. But nothing he’s not going to [overcome] with the right group and the right mentor, and Stan has offered to do that for us.”

Willis is a former teammate of UM tight end Stan Dobard, a rising junior. Golden said Dobard vouching for his friend’s character was critical.

Looks like Stan couldn't handle Gerald.
