I was watching a retrospective look at the SNES and people were talking about how fondly they remember games like Final Fantasy II, Chrono Trigger, and Secret of Mana. For some reason I remember not messing with the RPG genre at all until PSX.
My 1st experience was watching my friend play Final Fantasy VII. The graphics were crazy @ the time so I was impressed. I tried the game myself and could never wrap my head around letting enemies hit me. shyt just bothered me...that I was forced to trade licks.
The only RPG I ever legit beat was Grandia II on Dreamcast. I actually enjoyed the hell outta that game and the combat system. I can't figure out what I did with the disc being I still have my beloved Dreamcast. Guess I need to burn some ish and fire that sucker back up.
So I said that to say this recommend a noob some RPGs...I don't care what system I have them all in some form *cough* Emulator *cough* or another.
