He should stick to action. He might lose himself making demonic filth that strong.

VHS didn't have one joint that matched the cult to me, but the chick in the hotel room (first one where she's eatin' dudes) and the interrupting the exorcism one were better than the rest of VHS2. The story that brought it all together was better imo, better build-up to a payoff (nothing special but better than 2). The weird joint with the chick bringing her friends to the woods to get her revenge on a killer was also okay.

I was disappointed in part 2. The Cult joint was GREAT though.

I feel exactly the same. The premises for the stories were entertaining but i expected more out of them. The eye, the segway between the shorts, the aliens all had potential but just didnt hit the mark. If it werent for those special effects that cult one would have been even more crazy because that Indonesian cult leader seemed legit crazy.
