Specifically the Vietnamese? In Cali 95% are owed by Vietnamese. I know they have a big presence down south. I’m assuming they were the ones to bring in those sauces :banderas: I always get the sauce that mixes everything together with medium spice with Shrimp, clams, crawfish, sausage, corn and potatoes :eat:. I can handle spice like a muthafuka but Medium is the max I’ll go so I don’t ruin the seafood flavor. Be warned if y’all ever go Hot with sauces. Burn a hole through ya a$$hole fa sho :merchant:

Yeah I love me some Louisiana Fried Chicken. Especially when the place has good owners. I get semi annoyed when the Louisiana Fried Chicken is inside a Chinese food restaurant though

In NYC during the pandemic a lot of traditional Chinese food switched over to seafood spots :francis: One of my favorite Chinese food spots which used to serve Chicken w Broccoli, Boneless spare ribs and General Tso Chicken with white rice for 7 bucks turned into a got damn seafood restaurant :pacspit:

Book about regional food history, that has come up in past discussions. This page covers Vietnamese migration to Louisiana and their contributions to that food culture.

Cali has a Vietnamese population since roughly the same time. So those folks just linked up with their cousins and brought it to Cali.
