Did Barack Obama ever exist? Or was he a myth or something?

Most of the "black" people online talking that kind of shyt (or talking any of those rightwing talking points) are nonblack people in "digital blackface".

The black men who are brainwashed by that kind of thing are very few -- they just stand out because they're adamant and persistent, like a bad stink.

Those kind of black men (like a lot of americans), think mean-spiritedness = strength, so they have a soft spot for the reactionary right, which of course hates obama. They're also judgmental "monday-morning quarterbacks" who think being "contrary" is being smart.

I give zero credibility to any black man who'll call out obama and "liberalism" before they'll call out the alt-right.

Obama was a decent president, considering the circumstances.

In addition to breaking the glass ceiling of being the first black president, obama broke the glass ceiling of trying to bring us UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE (which most advanced nations ALREADY have) with the ACA ("Obamacare"). Although he did it in a clumsy way that sought to appease the evil corporatists, that counts for something. He also saved the economy.

...So Obama gets plenty of credit from me, and I look side-eye at any black person targeting Obama for any special scrutiny.
This is literally slave rhetoric

How dare I as a black man hold another black man to a standard huh:mjpls:

I should just be happy them nice white folks let him occupy the office for 8 years huh:mjpls:

I should just ignore the fact that he gave just as much, if not MORE bailout money to the private sector than Bush huh:mjpls:

I should just ignore the fact that his DOJ prosecuted ZERO of the MANY cases involving thr unarmed execution of melanated peoples huh:mjpls:

Libya was indeed a serious stain on his record. But as compared to other presidents, he doesn't deserve any special hate, let alone special hatred from black people.

...Use that energy to keep trump from doing a "libya" in venezuela. (...Or use that energy against any of the shytload of fukkery that trump is engaged in and getting set to engage in.)

Deep down, I doubt it would've even been possible for Obama to say "no" to the libya fukkery. That was real "deep state" action, with transnational powers pulling the strings...
:Ray_J_1:No one is giving him any special hate

The fact that hes no different from the rest of the warmongering, benign neglect, trickle down presidents that preceded and will proceed him IS THE POINT smh

It’s a combination of white guys pretending to be black and blacks who are so lost and will jump on the latest trend on Twitter to appear knowledgeable and militant. They will shyt on any black persons to discredit their accomplishments. Whites have the division game on lock. They seek out the stupidest of our people and play them like fiddles.
Why do yall get so emotional over obama?

How did your life change for the better during his 2 terms??

Black family wealth is nearing 0 right now smfh

Not denying that, but Trump's policies are making it harder for people to get ahead in life.

Either you're rich/upper class/have a good career or you ain't shyt under Trump. At least Obama created an opening into that world. Door closed with Trump. Now poor/average people getting hit with more bills and lesser tax returns.
He gave an opening by giving the private financial sector trillions of dollars of taxpayer money huh:mjpls:

He gave an opening by giving $10 billion(taxpayer dollars) a year in reparations to AA huh(no wait, he gave that reparation money to ISRAEL:mjpls:)

Some of yall really gotta fall back on posting so much misinformation and read something first ffs

Nah, Trump is worse.

Funny thing is I'm not affected by Trump's policies because I'm doing good, in fact I'm benefitting from them.

But I was homeless once and I would have been food out there if Obama came down harder like Trump is.

I was fortunate to make it. I don't know why folks would vote against their best interest and make it harder for themselves.
So were you homeless when Obama was president?

How was he a descendant of American slaves by way of an African father and a white American mother?

Please make that make sense for me

That's not how at all chattel slavery worked back then champ

Whoever this so called slave was, was most likely a white indentured servant

I’m well versed on Black American history. At least better than most. I’m also a bit of an amateur genealogist and have a pedigree on my maternal side going back to 1670. I say this only to say that you not talking to a joker. Obama is a descendant of the Bunches on his white mother side. Those of us who know anything about genealogy and colonial black history would recongnize the Bunch name instantly because that was one of the earliest colonial black families.

This is what the ADOS movement need to understand. Many of the earliest enslaved blacks (not talking about those whom were under an indenture), whom maybe gained freedom whether through their owner, or through escaping, many of the earlier African slaves married natives and Europeans. And so, because they have been in this country longer, their descendants had more time to get mixed all up, and is why many of their descendants do not look like them today. Obama’s white mother is one of them.

This is not debateable and there are a chain of genealogical record that proof this out.
There a lot of white people that are descendants of colonial Africans and if the thought process behind reparations is payment for unpaid negro labor and historic federal and state sanctioned educational and economic disenfranchisement, some of these white people can lay a valid claim to wanting a cut because they have direct ancestors that were negro slaves that were not paid for their labor. This is why paying reps based off of being 1) American and 2) Descendant of a *Negro* Slave, will be challenging because it a whole bunch of other folks, who are not “Black” today that can lay claim to that fact and support it with records.

Which is why the ADOS movement, in their talks of reparations, whether that is ever going to happen or not, need to tighten their criteria on who gets what. Because if we’re being honest, colonial 1600 and 1700 African families were in this country enslaved and/or disenfranchised longer than the bulk of African slaves that came closer to the beginning of 1800, which means those folks and their descendants are the FIRST to be entitled to anything. My whole point is you have a number of white folks that are descendants of these earlier Africans. Obama’s mother is one of them and therefore on paper Obama can claim ADOS and even get reparations with as broad of a definition of what that is.

Also became a software engineer during that time too. Lived off money saved because inflation from 2013 to 2015 was kept in check long enough to build my skills.

Like I said, now I’m in a field now where money is no issue and I get to work remote. I used that time to my advantage, got my foot well in the door and set for life now.

Things like food were much cheaper then. But this isn’t shyt, Trump going really turn up the juice during that 2nd term because dude doesn’t have to worry about being re-elected.
