Ol’Otis
The Picasso of the Ghetto
or is it the other way around

To be honest, the black commercial music platform isn't positive in general and that was purposefully done. There are artists that still sing about love: Kem, Lalah Hathaway, Ledisi, Anthony Hamilton, etc but their music just isn't getting played as much as the "drink and fukk" music we see today. Commercial music sucks.

this new generation dont care about unbridled love... all they care about is smashing thots and tipign strippers and wonder why this generation popping b*stard children out more than ever... smh
The death of love songs in R&B being mainstream created a shift in the way relationships are carried out here in the US.
Sooo many of our people are raised by the media. Instead of songs about love and heartache we got songs about sex and drugs and being petty. Music today is so superficial to me, maybe Im just getting![]()
