Young Ma was a one hit wonder. Had her song, did nothing else, had no shine anywhere outside of that song or after that song, and then disappeared. Cardi is not just the Bodak Yellow chick she's the Bruno Mars song chick and the best Motorsport feature and the dope feature on that A$AP track "No Limit". Her second single didn't flop either. Sure it wasn't as big as Bodak Yellow but it still did well.

The question was did she drop the ball by not dropping an album and I said no because she's continued to satisfy the masses with her songs/guest verses. We're not talking about if you like her music we're questioning an industry move.

Instead she's caking off her few songs and features being hype in the clubs. She hasn't released anything wack yet. An album would be too big of a risk for someone like her right now

She had one of the top 5 biggest songs of 2017, and had like 5+ songs in the top 20 on radio not long ago. Now she's touring with Bruno Mars. She's doing great without an album. Really, albums today are just compilations of songs for streaming platforms. I'm sure at some point Cardi will release one, and it'll have multiple tracks that do well for 6-12 months. And I'm sure the label is crafting various crossover songs for maximum streaming viability, including another track with Bruno. Hell she might even have Ed Sheeren on the damn album at this point.

Cardi isn't going anywhere, album or no album.
