i was too young to be involved in rap controversy during dmx's popularity, but rap wasn't as safe like it is now, or at least based upon older heads lyricism it wasn't. now its like if youre a "big" rapper and you mention rape or anything like that, you're going to get flamed for it and pretty much be shamed into apologizing. in my opinion, which is lame. and most of the time, its from people who don't even listen to that rapper or much rap, period. its from word of mouth that gets passed around on feminist sites.
rape, drugging people, all that stuff is obviously fukked up, and i don't condone it.. obviously.. but people are going to fukk with what they are going to fukk with, can't censor peoples taste.
