Domino released his debut album "Domino" on Dec 7th, 1993. He was a total package rapper, able to rap, sing and harmonize. Signed to Def Jam records, Domino paved the way for other West Coast rappers to succeed on the label. So why wasn't his career super successful? Was it due to Death Row Records and Snoop Dogg?

I'm a recent sit down interview with Big Boy, Snoop admitted that Domino used to write lyrics for Snoop when the pair was in high-school.

If anything, Da Brat tried sounding like Snoop lol

But on some real shyt, I loved that Domino album.

Ghetto Jam was that late night, cruising music.

Sweet Potato Pie got the party jumping.

Raincoat was a sexually conscious record

Dope album to me. Long Beach got quite a few albums I play front to back. No skips.

I felt like the brat sounded like snoop and redman combined. Even had the same redman flow on her first lp

Not surprising, considering Snoop/Death Row Records was known for jacking other unknown/non established artists. :francis:
