Nah.

From what I recall it was pretty much slept on.

In fact that whole Dre presents Aftermath album was slept on. It had one or two bangers though.

don't know if it was slept on, just not what people expected or wanted from Dre. the fact that it wasn't actually a Dre album like The Chronic was probably led to people sleeping on it as well tho

You taking me back with this shyt!

Nah, that was the end of the Death Row era when this came out. I knew when Dre left (and eventually snoop) that that label was f*cking done. He was the first to leave. I remember watching an interview with him in 1996 on MTV with Tabitha Soren (I believe) where he talked about this and the Aftermath presents comp. he said he wanted to do his own thing, but I knew even back then there was some behind the scenes stuff Dre caught wind of that he didn't like that prompted him to leave that wasn't touched on in that interview. He wasn't a gangsta like all them others...he wasn't built like that. Which is good, it speaks volumes to why he was/is so succesful.

it goes to show how much Dre was responsible for at Death Row. cats say he didn't make enough beats or flat out give the credit to Daz & Warren but when Dre left the label didn't have much to fall back on, Quik couldn't really join up and when Snoop left it really went to shyt. as little as it seemed Suge did, him being in jail didn't help but the music just fell off when Dre left for the most part.

Do yall think this song pretty much signaled the end of the g-funk era in rap??

The chick in the background sounds a lot like "Drive slow"

You can tell this track heavy influenced Kanye in Drive Slow
