Ryan lost by not keeping his ass in the studio full time. He also lost with that laptop fiasco. He also lost with Puff took Cassie as his concubine. But he wanted to be the artist and in front of the camera. Dude got them struggle R&B vocals and is meh as a rapper, which aint poppin off today and would never work back in the day.

Dude is super talented and when he first started making noise, those well-edited videos he used to release had you thinking he was a genius who could produce a track in 15 minutes or something (which wasnt the case.) But i dont think he wanted to be under Puff (which I'm sure Puff wasnt thrilled with) and that Cassie thing reeeeeeeeealllllllly prolly fukked with him on some man to man shyt.

But with his level of talent, he should have had wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more placements and worked with a high tier of artists that he's worked with. Still, his shyt is not passionate like what The Dream is doing

Ryan Leslie came along at a bad time sort-of.

Not that he was Drake before Drake b/c Drake is a real rapper. LEslie was never too good at rapping, but his writing was good and production was good.

In the end, he's smart though and will probably find a spot on the business side of things.
