Just bought a 2013 Chevy Malibu for 24,500. I was able to get 3.89%Apr. monthly payments are $340 a month for 72 months. I put a down payment of $4000.

Was it a good deal??

At first, sales guy tried to get me to pay $544 a month for 5 years with no money down. Shot that down real quick. He "recommends" that I should think about leasing the car! Lol I told him, "Why should I pay for something that I'm not going to own??" He tries to crunch more numbers and says can you do $473 for 5 years with $3000 down payment? Shot that down as well. He renegotiates again with $423 for 6 years. Lol more BS. He finally says, how about $381 for 6 years?? I counter with "I'll put down an extra grand if you meet me at $350 for 6 years or I walk away." He comes back with $360. Lol I said no. Then he says $355. Nope! $354?? I say No!! All right he says. $350 it is...

After all the numbers were crunched, it came out to $340 a month. Salesman looked dejected.

I would never pay that much for a chevy vehicle unless it was a silverado and even then I would just get a Tundra. I wouldnt do it but hey do you....Plus I would never finance for longer than 4 years

Well, if you got the note down to what you wanted then that's good. I would try to pay it off sooner than 6 years if possible though. Like I can understand getting the note down to $340, then paying like an extra $100 to pay it off sooner. If you decide to do that or try to pay it off sooner, check to make sure that the extra that you're paying is going towards the principle.

That's what I'm thinking about doing. Pay it all off in 48-60 months.
I could've got a 2013 Charger but The Malibu has better gas mileage.
