lol.
Add another excuse.
So what we got...Nas came weak because
Beat was wack
His verse was short (even though it was 16 bars)
He did it on purpose as a favor to Luda
He was going off the dome
Nas wanted to put all his energy into the hook

Not really. It was a sub par flow from Nas and Jay flowed better but really.
To body someone is to have a verse so good you sit there going he outshined everyone (See Eminem on renegade).
One thing I came out of that record was that it seemed both dudes were trying each others flow. Nas was flowing with this sort of laid back Hov flow and Jay was rapping with a bit of pace like Nas does trying to get all his lyrics in.
I've said this before but one of the things I hate about collabos now is that we concentrate on them like they're competition and the one thing you can say about BBC as a track is that none of the artists, from Pharell's beat, to the producers ad-libs, to both singers vocals to both rappers...nobody stepped up. It literally sounds like they were all just hanging out at a party and took that recording booth about as serious as a karoke machine
Perhaps Jay requested that Nas hold back a little. I mean, Nas has been torching everything since 2011 it makes no sense for him to spit weak on a Jov track
