With them both commercializing the genre, with Kendrick making songs for the hood/party songs while jcole makes songs for the broads. Also these nikkas broke several billboard records seperately. Both of them get huge mainstream media attention from blacks and cacs alike, praising them as rap gods as if Nas never existed.

A lot of it has to do with the era. They're Surrounded by nikkas who can barely put words together. Literally.
I wish the bar in Hip Hop was set a little higher. It's hard to know who's actually great, and it's hard to know what level of artistry guys are at when you don't have much to compare them too.
