Heres Some Facts

Before The Trade Nuggets Were A Playoff Team, After The Trade They Still Are

Before The Trade The Knicks Werent A Playoff Team, After The Trade They Now Are

You Can Sit There And Celebrate Nugget First Round Exits All You Want, In Hindsight No Matter How Much You Try To Pretty It Up Its A First Round Exit

The Knicks added Chandler as well who was DPOY last year, I ain't buying that jive.

Ive Never Seen A Trade Get So Over Analyzed Where The 2 Teams Are Constantly Compared, Especially When The 2nd Team "Doing Better" Is Going, And Has Been, Absolutely NO WHERE Beside Where They Were Already

To Say "The Knicks Havent Lived Up To Expectations" Is A 100% Understandable Criticism

But Like I Said, At The End Of The Day, When The Nuggets Stop Providing U With Fun Games To Watch All They'll Have Is Their 1st Round Exits To Show For It, Just Like The Knicks

So All This "They Won" Talk Is Whatever

Then you still have to credit the trade for that. Without Billups hefty salary coming off the cap, they wouldn't have been able to get Tyson.

Melo doesn't have "It"

He improved his legacy by joining the Knicks but will never win a title there..not
while Lebron is in Miami. Think Ewing Knicks in Jordan era

Automatically assuming the Nuggets cant win in the playoffs is short sighted.

I Didnt Assume, Im Referring To Their Past 2 Years, You Cant Assume The Knicks Are A 1st Round Out Either

The Knicks needed a superstar they got him, all they need are the right combo of pieces. No one was saying this when they started 18-5. There are going to likely finish a 2 seed, no worse than 3, and will be contenders in the ECF at minimum. What else can the Knicks ask for in all fairness because no team can really beat the Heat at this point in the season.

You do realize that there are two sides to the trade right? :heh: The Nuggets have a part in this too. They were on the verge of being yet another team that lost their superstar for nothing or for very little in return and they had absolutely no leverage in the trade market. They turned that into a better record than the Knicks have had the last 2 years and more playoff wins.

It doesn't matter what happens in the regular season. You don't gut your squad for a nice regular season. The Knicks made the Melo trade in order to contend. The Nuggets made the trade in order to avoid falling off the face of the earth. The Nuggets have accomplished that and more. Meanwhile it remains to be seen if the Knicks will actually contend. So I ask again how can that be even at this point?

No definitely not. But the Knicks are a lot more reliant on "getting hot" from two shooters, sometimes three than the Nuggets are. Nuggets shot selection is a lot better than the Knicks...but the Knicks have more guys that can hit bad shots if that makes sense.

Knicks is storied franchise. Attaching his name there was a great move.
He knows if he ever wins there, he'll be hailed as the KONY forever.
If he doesn't and still plays his best, he'll go down as a Knicks/NBA legend.
Melo is in a win/win situation personally..the "beloved loser" :smugbiden:

A player who has only made it out of the first round once in his decade-long career, joins up with a franchise that hasn't been out of the first round at all in the last decade - puts him in a win/win situation?
