Neither player stopped the other from getting the shots they wanted. Kawhi's shots just happened to fall and PG's didn't.They WILL NOT answer this question. Notice that nobody is touching the FACT that PG was getting worked by Kawhi

But PG was sick though![]()

Kawhi didn't score 20+ while being guarded by George, just like PG didn't go 1-14 being guarded by Kawhi. It's not as simple as what the box score reads. And they fell while who was guarding him ? Don't make it seem like "shots were just falling for KL". When the fact of the matter is...on offense he went 1-14...on defense Kawhi scored 20+. Don't make head-to-head arguments, to go the "shots just fell for him" route.
Nobody is arguing against this. Yall Spurs fans setting up straw men.Toe 2 Toe, PG took the L in all facets of the game against Kawhi. O, D, W/L column. So don't say neither player stopped one another, cuz the numbers don't lie.
Like how nikkas tried to say Melo was injured when Kawhi locked him up, yet Melo had scored 37 in the previous game before.EGGZACTLY. It was all good when he put up 29 the other night![]()

That's not the point here. The reason why I brought up the fact that neither player was stopping each other, was because there were posts that were asking what did PG do to stop Kawhi. He didn't do much - just as the opposite ran true on the other end - there were a number of times PG got past Kawhi.Breh. Don't be this simple minded. If you've watched basketball all your life. You would know that 1 man NEVER defends the same man ALL game.
But when it comes to Spurs vs Pacers, it's Kawhi vs PG. Just like Jordan vs Bird, or Bird vs Magic. It's just the way it is.
This is corny. And I hope that you're not insinuating that Kawhi is the more talented player. If so, I suggest you watch more Pacers games.Don't trip breh. There are always superheroes who have more powers then others.
To the people saying the video doesn't show the entirety of KL's defensive effort... then why post it in a thread given the thread title? Why post a video that presumably shows all of PG's misses and shows KL having relatively little to do with it?
You can't criticize people for basing their impression on the video when the video was posted to support the idea KL shut down PG. Nobody's denying that KL is a great defender, but he clearly did not do much on the 14 shots PG attempted. Maybe he prevented PG from taking another 10 shots.... but that's not the point, is it?
He made PG work and didn't allow him to get comfy. That's what he does to EVERYBODY. PG is one of the top players in the league, he's going to beat Kawhi and anybody for that matter off the dribble at times and get to the spots he wants to. Kawhi is a great defensively player and he's going to make things difficult for anybody he's guarding.
On the flipside, PG was getting blessed regularly by Kawhi when we was guarding him
Because he's greatWhy does this forum love khawi so much?![]()

He didn't shut down Bron.Well Kwahi shut down Lebron in the finals so this is not a surprise.. He's the best guard defender since Bruce Bowen
