didnt mase use writers as well? pretty sure i recall cam saying he helped mase for his first album.

A dude you knew since you were 8yrs old in the studio with you saying "yo say it like this" isn't considered ghostwriting... camron is just petty

Also mase wrote some shyt for biggie... not uncommon for dudes in the same camp to bounce ideas off eachother especially if they're all high level lyricists

Why do you so many of you guys thinking making music especially on a mainstream level is about complex bars?

:stopitslime: You're reading too much into my original comment (well on second thought, in your case, maybe not). :pachaha:
It's just somewhat a surprise that a talented artist like Nelly would need a ghost writer for the basic, elementary rhymes he usually has in his songs. :yeshrug:

No you’re missing my point. Making music is about melody, hooks, quotes and feelings.

if someone in the studio is saying something over the beat in a catchier, cooler way than what you can come up with then you use those bars

anyone can write multis and metaphors if that’s their goal

But right before Ma$e made his official comeback, he was on Nelly's album "Suit" that came out in 2004 but was recorded in 2003.

And I remember during that time when Ma$e was making his comeback, he talked about being in in the studio when Nelly was working on music

The connection between Ma$e and Nelly is Ma$e's old manager Cudda Love.

Cudda Love was Nelly's manager and the CEO of Fo Reel Entertainment

Cudda asked Ma$e to get on a song with Nelly
