I don't think it happened. I think Vince was very butt hurt about Macho Man leaving for WCW. He even thanked him for his time in the WWF on RAW after Macho Man debuted in WCW, like he died or something. I don't remember him doing that for Hogan or anyone else. I think Vince looked at Macho as a legit best friend or something.

It has to be something more to it. A bunch of wrestlers left for WCW and Vince at least has a cordial relationship with them. He wants nothing to do with Macho. I've listened to interviews with former writers that said you came even bring up his name around Vince. Not even for Hall of Fame consideration.

I'm dying to know what happened though.

Before Macho died, he was doing commercials for the WWE. I don't believe the Stephanie rumor because even Macho Man posted a vid on YouTube poking fun at it.
